ADAM remote I/O are categorized into 5 families: IoT/OPC UA Ethernet I/O, Modular I/O system, RS-485 I/O and Serial/USB Converters/Repeaters.
IoT Ethernet I/O Modules: ADAM-6000/6200
Advantech's Ethernet I/O Modules, ADAM-6000 series, accomplishes this integration easily through the latest internet technology, so that it can remotely monitor the device status more flexibly. ADAM-6000 modules are empowered by Peer-to-Peer (P2P) and Graphic Condition Logic (GCL), and can perform as standalone products for measurement, control and automation with Advantech's P2P and GCL technology.
The ADAM-6000/6200 Secure Cloud I/O series enables seamless Ethernet I/O control from the cloud. Users without a cloud service can quickly start by registering for an EdgeHub account. With the familiar ADAM utility, managing and configuring ADAM I/O is effortless. The ADAM I/O also integrates advanced security features, including X.509 certificates, TLS encryption, and allowlisting, ensuring robust protection and reliability.

RS-485 I/O Modules: ADAM-4000/4100
Cost-effective remote RS-485 data acquisition modules offer analog, RTD, thermocouple, digital, relay and counter I/O with Modbus RTU protocol.
The ADAM-4000/ 4100 series featuring rugged industrial-grade cases are specially designed for reliable operation in harsh environments. Built-in microprocessors independently provide intelligent signal conditioning, analog I/O, digital I/O, data display, and RS-485 communication through Modbus RTU protocols.
Modular I/O System: ADAM-5000 Series
ADAM-5000 PC-based controllers, including the ADAM I/O series system, and ADAM-5560CE/KW Micro PAC, feature an Intel Atom D510 CPU along with control specific features such as watchdog timer, battery backup RAM and deterministic I/O. ADAM-5560KW PC-based controllers support 5 standard IEC 61131-3 programming languages in CE 5.0. With the optional HMI Software and built-in VGA port, this remote I/O module can avoid using additional SCADA PC’s in their applications.
Controllers
The ADAM-5560CE/KW Micro PAC is useful for up to 224 I/O point applications. It features an Intel Atom D510 CPU along with control specific features such as watchdog timer, battery backup RAM and deterministic I/O. The ADAM-5560KW also supports 5 standard IEC 61131-3 programming languages in Microsoft Windows CE 5.0. With the optional HMI Software and built-in VGA port, users no longer need to use additional SCADA PC’s in their applications.

I/O Rack
ADAM-5000/485 and ADAM-5000E are Modular I/O System, as well as 4-slot / 8-slot Distributed DA&C centralized i/o systems which conform to the EIA RS-485 communication standard. RS-485 was specifically developed for industrial applications to transmit and receive data at high rates over long distances. The ADAM-5000L/TCP and ADAM-5000/TPC are both Ethernet-based I/O systems. Without a repeater, they can cover a communication distance up to 100M.
