EleCylinder Rod Type Actuators, Radial Cylinders & Slide Table Types by IAI Intelligent Actuator
Manufacturer: IAI Intelligent Actuator

EC rod types, radial cylinder & short stroke types
In addition to the standard version, rod type actuators are also available as short-stroke and slide table types. Radial cylinders are equipped with a 2-track linear guide, the highly rigid radial cylinders with a 4-track linear guide, in order to absorb radial and axial loads.
Standard rod type actuators
EleCylinder lifting cylinders are available in the standard version with or without external guides. They are suitable for strokes up to 300 mm and payloads up to 80 kg.
Space-saving slide table or short stroke types are ideal for strokes up to 150 mm and payloads up to 35 kg.
The previous mini short-stroke cylinders (EC-RP4, EC-GD4) and mini compact slides (EC-TC4, TC-TW4) have been complemented by the high-performance EC cylinders (EC-RP5, EC-GD5, EC-TC5 and EC-TW5) with more stroke, speed and power.
With a maximum stroke length of 150 mm, horizontal payloads of up to 35 kg and vertical loads of up to 6.5 kg are possible despite the small sizes.
The complete EleCylinder series is optionally available with the “3-position mode specification”. This means that stops are not only possible at the set start and end positions, but also in between.
In certain applications, the cycle time can be shortened by stopping at intermediate positions.
The hand-held programming device "Touch Panel TB-03" can communicate wirelessly with EleCylinder actuators.
This means that even axes that are already firmly installed behind covers and invisible from the outside can be reprogrammed quickly and easily.

Radial cylinder
For radial cylinders, 2- or 4-lane linear guides with rotating balls are installed in the rod base body. External guides are therefore not required.
Standard radial cylinders have a 2-track linear guide, while highly rigid radial cylinders are equipped with a 4-track linear guide. This means that the permissible radial load at the rod tip is at least 2.8 times higher than with the standard version.
Due to the integrated linear guides and the rod bearing, radial and axial loads can be absorbed. In addition, there is no overtravel at the rod tip (stick-slip effect) as with pneumatic cylinders.
